Winners were announced in the annual Youth In Art exhibit sponsored by NewPage at the Bonifas Arts Center’s Powers Gallery through March 18.
Students and home-schoolers in the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District in grades Kindergarten through high school bring their finest work and compete for prizes at the Center.

Prizes for each grade are sponsored by the Bonifas Arts Center, Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District, Escanaba Noon Kiwanis, the Escanaba chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, and NewPage. In addition, Bay Area Art Association chooses one over-all prize winner for Elementary, and one for Middle School / High School.

Awards for Kindergarten through 5th grade took place on February 18. Prizes for artists in 6th through 12th grade were awarded during the reception on February 25.

In addition to the visual artists, students of Karen Pratt furnished keyboard music during the Middle / High School reception. Emilee Berg of Gladstone, Jenna Bialik of Gladstone, Madelyn Cseter of Gladstone, Brinna Litchard of Rock, Caitlin Lung of Gladstone, and Dan Pederson of Gladstone, shared entertainment duties for the evening.

Docent-led tours are available from now through the end of the exhibit at no charge, but reservations are necessary. There is no charge to attend receptions or view and tour exhibits.
