Art Scene mural unveiled at DNR building in Escanaba

The Art Scene mural at the Department of Natural Resources building in Escanaba has been unveiled. Several media covered the event include WJMN TV3. Their is story is at www.upmatters.com.

The students were guided through the project by experienced instructor and artist James Finlan, and assisted by art students from Bay College.

The Michigan DNR, which is sponsoring the mural project, is thankful to the Bonifas for its support. “We are very grateful to the Bonifas Arts Center for their support in partnering with the Finance and Operations Division of the Department of Natural Resources to do this venture,” said JoAnn Alexander with the Michigan DNR. “The mural will represent what the outdoors has to offer in this beautiful area that we live. We hope that motorists and tourists driving by, and customers of the Escanaba Service Center will view and enjoy this outside mural for years to come. We are very fortunate to have such devoted and passionate local artists working on this project.”
