Bonifas hosts the Michigan Water Color Society's traveling show

The Michigan Water Color Society (MWCS) 68th Annual Exhibition travel show will be on display at William Boniface Fine Arts Center from August 6 to September 10.

This show consists of thirty water media paintings from the 68th MWCS Annual Exhibition including all award winners and selected pieces by esteemed juror, Robert Burridge. They represent a complete cross-section of styles and techniques and showcase the talent of many Michigan artists.

This exhibition is part of a statewide tour that also includes Park Library Baber Room, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant and Studio 1219 in Port Huron.

The Michigan Water Color Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote education in the contemporary arts through sponsoring juried exhibitions, awards, lectures, demonstrations and presentations. Burridge describes the artists’ skills as pushing classic painting technique forward with a wide range of diversity and ideas.

Artists are invited to use the gallery setting as a painting workspace any Thursday during the exhibit presentation. Come and be inspired by some of Michigan’s best watercolorists!
