Gladstone Senior Art — Alcohol Ink

February 10, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Thanks to Thrivent Financial, the Senior Art program is able to branch out to Gladstone Senior Center on the 2nd Friday of each month so you can catch some creative fun at two sites this winter!

The program will have an open studio setting, featuring different work stations with a variety of materials for paper-crafting, watercolors and more. There will also be a new featured project each month:

February 10: Alcohol Ink Placemat
Here’s the latest rage in painting mediums – alcohol ink! Just let the pigment flow
and do its own thing and you will have winning color and designs to create
beautiful placemats.

March 10: Wearable Art!
You’ll make a fashion statement in the kitchen when you wear your artful apron! Using all kinds of produce, it’s an easy hand-stamp project and wearable art!

Apr 14: Abstract Painting
May 12: Sandcasting
June 9: Jewelry: Necklaces & Bracelets

Participants can choose to work at any given station or to join the group for the new project. Teaching artist, Diane Kribs-Mays will be on site demonstrating the new project and for individual attention.
