Listen to the interview with Ted Nesberg.

The Munising Bay Arts Association has a membership show at the Bonifas Arts Center in Escanaba. Association President Ted Nesberg said much of the artwork reflects the natural beauty of the Munising area.

"A lot of the photography and paintings are of local places. It just seems natural that if you live in such a beautiful place that you should take a picture of it or paint it," he said.

Including Nesberg's backyard. Both he and his wife paint. One of her paintings is of their backyard.

"Standing there at the kitchen sink washing dishes she looked out the window and saw that the sun was coming across, it was a Fall day, everything was in color and she stopped what she was doing, went out and took a photography and painted from it," Nesberg said.

The group works to promote art in the Munising area. Nesberg said he was amazed at the response they received when forming the association eight years ago.
