Escanaba Yacht Club
The Escanaba Yacht Club in partnership with the Bonifas Fine Arts Center is hosting a Plein Art Event on Monday, August 10 th from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This event will begin at the Escanaba Yacht Club, located at 21 Baumier Way - south of the historic Escanaba Lighthouse. Plein Art brings artists out of the studio and into the fresh air surrounding Escanaba Harbor & Marina, historic lighthouse and locations all along Sand Point. Members from the Escanaba Yacht Club and Bonifas Fine Arts Center will greet artists and welcome them to the Yacht Club. Artists will be given a map, general information and morning coffee. Later in the day, roughly 2:30 p.m., artists and the community will gather at the Yacht Club to show their artwork and share their experiences. Artists, bring your easels, paper and paint or other medium, along with a bag lunch and join us to experience the light, water and beauty of Sand Point. Those interested in seeing artists at work are invited to observe the paintings in progress and to interact with working artists throughout the day. Rain date if needed will be Tuesday, August 11th.
